Mary has been Hailed! ....Maybe.

*update* test line still way darker than control line this morning, temp lower again (yesterday was 97.8, this morning 97.3), so I think that confusion is gone at least. As Molly said, humping like monkeys ;-) Thanks for all your reassurance! *end update*

Quick post, must run to the dentist for a filling ;-(

Peed on the OPK this morning - the test line was WAY darker than the control line. Holy crap!

My temperature was also way up.

Does that mean that I ovulated and we fricking missed it? I had only been peeing on the sticks every other day to conserve them, because honestly I really didn't think it would happen.

Does the LH go back down again after you've actually ovulated, or does it stay up? This is completely new to me!!!

We had a quickie this morning before I went to play hockey. Will try again tonight...

(BTW, today is CD40!)

I think you might be okay. The test line indicates that ovulation will occur in the next 36-48 hours. (But don't quote me on that.) When your temp drops, you'll know for sure if you ovulated.

Good luck.

According to my clinic, the LH goes up and comes back down in about 24 hours. So if you see a line, you could be seeing the going up, or the coming back down. Either one is good, though if the line is super dark you are probably right at the height of the surge. Usually (for me at least) if you see faint lines, you are on the way up/down and missed the height. So it looks like you were lucky and hit it perfectly.

Good luck with the quickies. I was told to stay on my back with my hips up on a pillow after to make it 'easier' for the spermies to find their way home, but that never helped me. Probably an old wives tale.

I'm so pleased you actually have a shot at it happening naturally! Of course, you know that then you'll be That Girl, as in, "oh, my best friend's cousin's sister-in-law was all set to do IVF, and then she got pregnant all by herself!" Still, even spontaneous ovulation is a big deal for us HA girls, and I'm so glad you get to have at least one bout of actual baby-making-sex :).

Well, either you missed it two weeks ago because you were only testing every other day and now this OPK was positive because you're...you know, OR you will ovulate in 12-48ish hours, in which case Good Luck, and GET BACK IN THE BEDROOM!
Spontaneous ovulation, Nico--I am so proud of your ovaries right now...

I usually would get two days of positive OPKs then ovulate within the next day or so.

Everyone else is right --

get thee to the bedroom! Hump like monkeys!

The surge does the same job as your hcg shot during IVF, so you've got time - although the fact that your temp was already up is confusing. That happened to me this month, and then my temp went up again a day later, so I think either I ovulated twice, and missed the first surge, or my temp was being affected by something else.

Good luck!
