Wassup?

I've been MIA the past few months - mostly because there's not a whole lot going on TTC-wise. My cycles are pretty regular, so we're trying each month - but no luck yet. I don't really see much point right now in posting my pre-O angst each month, followed by post-O angst (although I only have one pg test left so I've just been waiting for the crimson bitch each month and have actually found that a much more zen way to live, for me, than early testing), followed by "Shit! my period is here" angst. So that's where we're at. I'm supremely thankful for me two boys and feel so lucky to have them. I will feel even more lucky if we are able to have another, but if not, my life is pretty damn good as is so I have nothing to complain about. So that's that!

I do have plans to post about a few articles that have been published suggesting taking acetyl-L-carnitine to help restore cycles in women with HA... but that's probably going to have to wait until we finally move into our new house. (Hoping for April, expecting May/June... REALLY hoping it's not any longer than that, considering we started building in November 2009!!)

Welcome back! I have deleted every pregnant person from my blogger reading list, so I was getting kind of lonely.

Hello! I just recently found your blog, and I am excited to find another person with HA! It's so rare that I've found other woman online with this problem. Reading your past posts were very insightful!

Good luck!

Hi hi -- I also have HA and also just found your blog. For a complicated set of reasons I fall into the overexercise/undereating category but am still at a healthy body weight.

I'm young and not looking to get pregnant but am worried that if I don't try to gain some weight I might be doing long-term damage. Have you come across anything about the long-term negative effects of an energy deficiency?

Hello! I just thought I'd stop by and say good luck with everything, and I hope everything is well. It sounds like you're busy but it would still be cool to meet up sometime when you have a chance :).

I came across your blog while googling! I am an otherwise healthy 32 year old women also diagnosed with HA.

I have been an athlete/personal trainer all my life and have maintained a weight of 5'6", 116 lbs. My cycles were always light but 4 years ago I was training for a marathon and got down to 110 lbs and my cycle just STOPPED!

After NUMEROUS testing (MRI of pituitary, etc) my docs couldn't find anything wrong and attributed it to my lifestyle and low body fat.

Of course, now my husband and I are looking to have a baby. Starting Menopur injections next week to be followed up with an IUI.

I really need support on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Your blog gives me hope!!

ANyone else who wants to discuss the HA problem (because it is a really recognized epidemic), feel free to email me: kimberlyd91367@yahoo.com

I just found your blog and have been reading it non stop! I went off b/c 6 months ago in hopes of getting pregnant. I have yet to get my period. I have gone to doctors, and had an ultra sound, and blood work done. They say all is well. I am a long distance runner and have stuggled with eating issues, so i am sure this adds to my problem. It is very frustrating, and it is comforting to hear someone be so open and give out information about their own struggle. I stuggle with wanting to go a natural approach to resume my period. thanks for sharing with us all!
