DBTs

So I woke up this morning, and realized that I haven't had to get up to pee during the night for a few days now. And my boobs aren't sore anymore. Unless I pinch really hard. And, well, I think that would hurt regardless. So basically every "symptom" I have had has disappeared. I know that it's normal for nausea to subside around 12 weeks - is it normal for all the rest of it to go away as well? Am I being paranoid, or might my DBTs (Dead Baby Thoughts) be justified?

I can't comment on the boobs, because mine didn't hurt at all, at any point.

In regard to the symptoms disappearing, I think it really is sudden for some people. For me, at exactly 11 weeks the nausea lifted as did most of my food aversions. It was really strange that at 10w6d I was essentially nauseous all the time and didn't want to eat, and one day later it was almost like before I found out I was pregnant.

At the moment (14w3d)I feel occasionally nauseated, but other than that...nothing. Well, I lie. I'm still a moody bitch, but aside from THAT, nothing.

We're always going to have DBTs, but what you're going through (or not going through) sounds perfectly normal to me.

I would be feeling the same way. I can't remember the symptoms with X during the 2nd Tri, but it seems to me that was the only time I didn't feel pregnant.

Would your RE be willing to see you just to help ease your mind? It's your nickel.

It sounds normal to me. I only had sore boobs for the first few weeks. Everybody is different, as is every pregnancy.

To help subside my DBT's, I rented a doppler. It really helped me relax.

I have never been that far along, so I cannot give you any personal experiences to soothe you, though I wish I could. I have heard that symptoms can disappear quite suddenly at the end of the first trimester, and possibly the having to pee less could be because the baby moves upward from the pelvic cavity around this point? I think the peeing thing gets worse again later, as you get bigger.
It's too bad you don't have a doppler--are there any other pregnant IFers in your area who have one? Just to ease your mind?

It sounds normal, (and I truly hope it is), but you do realize how funny it sounds that you had to pinch REALLY HARD for your boobs to hurt. They've been hurting for about 10 weeks and instead of smiling that they finally don't, you PINCHED YOURSELF REALLY HARD. Just to check.

:D

Try thinking LBTs (Live Baby Thoughts), it sounds like you are doing great. (yes, that is the sound of a teeny-tiny bit of jealousy, much happiness, but a little jealousy).

Oh yes, the symptoms can go away/ease up. My boobs were incredibly sore for quite some time during the 1st trimester and then felt better around 14 weeks.
I didn't have any morning sickness/extreme fatigue so I'm not sure on those.

It's hard to not think there might be something wrong, especially after you've gone through so much. From what I've heard from others, it's pretty normal though.

My symtoms really eased off (basically disappeared at week 11) and completely gone at week 12ish. My boobs were only REALLY sore before and a week or so after I discovered I was pregnant. The nausea came in waves every three or so days and was not that bad. In retrospect, my symptoms have been very mild and now coffee and smells like that don't make me feel sick. Up until about a week or so ago I did not feel pregnant at all except for my growing tummy. Now I'm getting tired and I don't sleep very well.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you.

And, from what limited knowledge I have, it sounds as if what you're experiencing is completely normal.

Ugh how painful to have to worry like this, when the clueless fertiles would just be happy not to be feeling ill any more. I do hope that it's nothing, as everyone else said, but I have no experience so I can't help there.

I agree that around 12 weeks symptoms like sore boobs just seem to go. But that's ok because you get new ones! Like a really snotty nose. Or, as I've just got in the last two days, the sensation of mucus building in the back of my throat making me want to spit constantly.
Yeah!

Hi Nico - unfortunately, dbt's don't exactly go away, although the intensity abates. You could get a doppler for peace of mind. Take a run over here and use mine - I rarely use it anymore, but have kept it just in case. It's a lot easier than worrying.

Hi Nico at 14weeks today, I was hit with my first lot of DBT. My symptoms disappeared and then reappeared recently so that is what has got me worried. I know nothing constructive said here, but I hope that it helps to know that there are others that have the same thoughts and fears.
